Sciots 2023 Summer Calendar, Roster and Info

  • The season is about to begin. Attached is the summer calendar and rosters (alphabetical and by cabin # order). Teaser, we have a new activity this season, you’ll have to check out the calendar. There’s plenty of opportunities to volunteer, the more of us that get involved, the better time we’ll have. It’s a great way to meet a friend.
  • This is an Election year, I attached the bylaws and constitution. More information at the meeting.
  • Chlorination of the water system will be happening soon. 
  • We had more than our share of snow. The river and creek are running remarkably high, fast, and cold, be sure to keep children and pets from the rushing water.
  • Bear activity – the bears are back, be aware and careful. DON’T LEAVE ANY FOOD OR GARBAGE OUTSIDE OR INSIGHT.
  • ICE CREAM. Despite inflation and the increase in the Consumer Price Index, ice cream will remain at .50¢ a scoop. The Ice cream store will open at 6:30 – 8:30pm every Saturday and Sunday’s on Holiday Weekends thru Labor Day. Note, evenings of potlucks, opening time may be delayed to give scoopers a chance to eat.  Please go to the website to sign up to serve. Working the store 2 shifts will fulfill your Cabin’s yearly Community Service Hours.
  • WORKDAY – We have two workday’s scheduled, June 10th and September 16th. Every cabin owner is responsible for participating in a workday or donating four hours per season to better Camp. Be sure to sign in when doing your workday. It doesn’t have to be the cabin owner; it can be a representative for the cabin. If you’re unable to make either of these dates, please contact Vice President, Don Foster at 530-400-1321 or dtfoster@dcn.org. The workday needs to be completed on or before the last workday of the season, September 16th.
